AwareSpace™ from Adozu
AwareSpace from Adozu is a complete Asset Awareness system. An AwareSpace system includes:- Asset Tags: approximately the size of a USB stick, these active tags have a service life of five years.
- Meshed Readers: provide the wireless infrastructure, linking Tags to a Zone Controller.
- Zone Controller: manages 15 Readers, provides secure communication with AwareSpace Server.
- AwareSpace Server: software that provides a unified XML/Web Services view to multiple Zone Controllers.
Asset Awareness
AwareSpace provides more than simple Active RFID or Real Time Location services. AwareSpace can be used for:- Location and Tracking (“Where is it…?”): locate assets within a room or warehouse.
- Audit Trails (“When did it…?”): Every AwareSpace transaction is tagged with an accurate timestamp.
- Custodial Transfer (“Who has it…?”): records when assets arrive and depart.
- Environmental Monitoring (“How is it…?”): records vibration, temperature, humidity, or other environmental factors.
- Electronic clipboard (“What is it…?”): each Asset Tag has writeable storage for recording application-specific information.

AwareSpace uses industry standards at all levels:- Low cost, low power: Asset Tags use IEEE 802.15.4-based wireless communication.
- Reliable: Readers use proven ZigBee™ wireless mesh protocols for easy setup and dependable networking.
- Secure: Wireless communication can be secured using AES128 encryption and authentication.
- Easy Interface: The API to the AwareSpace Server is based on XML and Web Services.
Zone-1 System
A single AwareSpace Zone covers 10,000 to 20,000 square feet. Multiple zones may be ganged together for greater coverage. A Zone-1 system consists of:- Adozu Zone Controller.
- 15 Meshed Readers.
- 25 Asset Tags to facilitate installation.
- AwareSpace Server software.
- AwareSpace Client Libraries.
